Boys Hope Girls Hope
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baltimore helps academically motivated middle and high school students rise above disadvantaged backgrounds and become successful in college and beyond. Our goal is to graduate young people who are physically, emotionally and academically prepared for post-secondary education and a productive life, breaking the cycle of poverty. We firmly believe that children have the power to overcome adversity, realize their potential, and help transform our world.
Julie Community Center
The Julie Community Center is a multi-purpose, non-profit community organization involved in advocacy, education, and organizing, with special dedication to the poor. They provide an after-school program, youth enrichment and summer camp program from children ages 6-12, as well as leadership workshops and public health projects for teens. There is also opportunity for ESL & GED instruction/tutoring.
Stocks in the Future
Stocks in the Future is a program designed to address the needs of all students – from highly motivated to the most at-risk. Our goal is to teach students financial literary fundamentals and basic skills in investing, in order to reinforce math, language arts, and social studies skills. Our mission is to help middle school students thrive in their classrooms, homes, and neighborhoods by investing in their financial futures and themselves.
Clay Pots … A Place to Grow
Clay Pots is a community center formed to provide a safe space that fosters spiritual and personal growth. We provide GED and ESL classes, wellness workshops, and host special events throughout the year in order to support the community and its residents. Our mission is to provide the residents of Southwest Baltimore with the resources they need in order to accomplish their own personal goals and to succeed in the future.
