KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy
NDA members serve as Academic Support Interns, working with high school students in classrooms and during after-school activities in order to provide additional learning support to students who require it. Academic Support Interns work with students one-on-one or in small group settings to help students better understand material; they provide in-class assistance to students during class times; they also help out during after-school activities. Academic Support Interns likewise assist primary teachers with grading, planning, and instruction of material as well as serve as discipline monitors during the school day. KIPP DuBois opened in 2010 with a 9th grade class, and will add another grade in 2011.

KIPP Philadelphia Charter School
KIPP Philadelphia Charter School is an academically intensive public charter school that enrolls students in grades 5 through 8. The NDA member will largely support teachers by providing academic assistance to students in need of extra attention while the teacher continues their lesson. This will consist of small group work as well as in-classroom assistance.

US Dream Academy
The NDA member assists the Education Specialist in implementing the prescribed curriculum of Successmaker and Individualized Tailored Instructions (ITI) as needed, and provide insruction during some aspects of the prescribed academic instructions and values-based learning within the US Dream Academy curriculum. The member also provides academic support for students completing their homework. Further, in conjunction with Center staff, the member will assist in hosting the Center’s outreach events to engage parents and guardians of Dream Academy students, including the Parent’s Night and Fulfilled Families Initiative. As needed, the member will also work to connect Dream Academy families with available community resources.

Catholic Social Services/Archdiocese of Philadelphia
Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is the largest private social service agency in Pennsylvania. The NDA members will each serve in one of the many education-based sites run by CSS, and will be determined by the members' interests and skill sets, as well as the needs of the sites. Members will provide day-to-day academic support to children or adults through activities such as after-school enrichment programs, adult education, and life skill training for the developmentally disabled.

St. James School
Located in North Philadelphia, St. James School is a faith-based middle school committed to educating traditionally underserved students in a nurturing environment. The school opened in the fall of 2011 with a class of fifth graders and will add a grade each year until it includes an eighth grade class. The NDA member will provide the extra attention the students need to succeed academically by tutoring students individually and in small groups, assisting teachers with classroom activities, participating in conflict resolution activities, and assisting with the after school program.
