Hartford and New Haven, Connecticut

Hartford and New Haven are multicultural cities that have a variety of educational needs. It is estimated that only 30% of freshmen in Hartford’s public schools graduate from high school. Our service opportunities focus on programs to motivate children to be successful in school, basic adult ed. and GED programs, and parenting skills programs and activities. New opportunities for the 2008-2009 service year include involvement in programs for the Mentoring Children of Prisoners.
