Notre Dame-AmeriCorps is currently accepting applications for the 2009-2010 service year, which begins on September 2, 2009 and ends on August 1, 2010. Members can start as late as October.
We invite applications from individuals who are over 21 and have work experience or a college education. A high school diploma is required unless the applicant is enrolled in a GED or diploma preparation program while serving and receives his or her diploma by the end of the year of service.
Applicants should also possess:
- The willingness to spend a year in the service of others.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible, adaptive, and work on a team.
- U.S. citizenship or be a lawful permanent resident alien.
- Commitment to serve as a full-time volunteer for 11 months (or 5 months as a 900 hour volunteer).
